common 1 elixir
Skeletons are the cheapest card in the game: one elixir for three fast, fragile melee units. In Daily Puzzles that low cost is their entire value — you can spend them to learn the enemy script without ruining the rest of your plan.
Why Skeletons open most puzzle lines
- Cost of information. One elixir buys you the enemy’s response pattern. If the placement is wrong, the remaining attempt costs almost nothing.
- Pull power. Defensive clusters and buildings lock onto the nearest unit; a well-timed Skeleton drop drags them out of the tower’s shadow.
- Swarm math. Against a static wall, three Skeletons plus any ranged or building unit behind them break through faster than a single tank.
In puzzle scenarios
Skeletons appear in two roles:
- Your opening pull — deployed at the bridge or lane edge to trigger the scripted enemy response early.
- The enemy wall — as in Bone Blockade, where a static skeleton cluster is the puzzle to break; then splash or building damage is your answer.
Common mistakes
- Deploying them too far back, so they die before pulling anything.
- Using them as your finisher — they are the scalpel, not the hammer.
